what is the difference between a 2004 Malibu and a Classic Malibu?

Question: How can you tell a Malibu and a Classice Malibu apart. Some ads have Malibu and some Classic.

Answer: Classic Malibu is actually not a Malibu, but just called Chevy Classic. It is exactly the same car as the previous year Malibu, but just named different. Same engines and options as the previous year. I think they must have had some left over and put different nameplate on them to sell them as '04's.
