Good Reloading setup for a beginner?

Question: would be used for 308 and 9mm what about blue press I have heard some nasy things about them but they seem to have a good system

Answer: A couple of my buds & I started out years ago with a RCBS 'Ammocrafter' starter kit, and soon added a "Rockchucker' press as a main tool for more power resizing the 'big guns'(long rifle & big Magnum pistol brass cases). After several years loading together, when I went back in the "Corps", I got my own 'chucker', with a 'Junior' as a secondary for priming & such. I have used Lee dies, as well as RCBS, as theirs, especially the carbide pistol dies, are just as good quality as RCBS, for MUCH less money. With prices the way they are today, I would go with one of these starter kits, while saving for a heavier press if you are reloading rifle cartridges, as soon as you learn the basics reloading pistol rounds first. The Lee press, in particular, just isn't heavy enough for resizing large no. #'s of .308's. P.S: Dillon does make a quality product, they have been doing so for years, BUT. . . .progressive presses are for experienced reloaders, NOT beginners. One is better off learning the basics on a single stage set-up before adding the extra techniques required in setting up and operating a progressive press.
