Campagnolo Record or Sram Force?

Question: I'm building a Specialized Tarmac SL for next season and I have narowed the components to Sram and Campy. I've been using Shimano 9spd for god knows how long and I'm planning to move to 10 spd. However the Tarmac SL doesn't look too good whith shimano so Carbon is the way to go. Unfurtunately I havent tried neither SRAM nor Campy. If anyone out there has tried these systems ... which would you prefer?

Answer: Both would make for a sweet bike. Here's my opinion: Campy makes great stuff, no doubt. Their bearing surfaces and longevity are unrivaled. SRAM stuff is performing really well and the Force line is significantly less expensive than Record. The big issues to consider: 1) Lever/Shifter preference. This is personal but some people like how certain levers feel. Personally, I think Campy brake/shifter levers are too small so I prefer SRAM or Shimano. The new SRAM levers have been getting rave reviews for ergonomic feel. And the double-tap shifting is pretty slick. 2) Spare/Swapping wheels. SRAM works with Shimano wheels so you should be able to use any old wheels with a new 10spd cassette. Campy would mean your old Shimano wheels are no longer of use. I have used all three. I have Shimano on my bikes now but my next purchase will be SRAM. Good luck, either way you'll have a sweet bike!
