Answer: if this is a hot water boiler pump the it is common for the flange gaskets to leak in the summer time but there isnt a danger for a flood,the gaskets are getting a little dried out,but as soon as the heat goes back on the gaskets expand with the hotness and the leak most always stops, i would worry to much about it... if the pump is over 10 years old then you might wanna change it,dont do just the gaskets do the whole pump or you will waste your money..if the pump isnt old then do the gaskets...if it is a large b and g pump then it may be the bearings leaking or the gaskets ,the bigger pumps have more ways to leak....good luck tina
