Question: I have an older Gateway computer and I need more RAM. Can I buy generic RAM at Best Buy or do I have to get it from Gateway?
Answer: Look up your Gateway model here and check pricing- you can use "generic" ram, but the specs have to match exactly to your computer's requirements. For sure don't get the RAM at Gateway, they are way to pricey for the exact same parts you can get elsewhere.
