The Great Gatsby?

Question: Does anybody know what this quote means and how it connects with The Great Gatsby. Then wear the gold hat, if that will move her; if you can bounce high, bounce for her too, Till she cry "Lover, gold-hatted, high-bouncing lover, I must have you!" Thanks Thank You

Answer: Daisy and Jay (Gatsby) loved each other very much in their youth, however since she was very wealthy, she was not permitted to marry a poor man (Gatsby was very poor growing up). Later, Gatsby acquired an enormous amount of wealth (via bootlegging), yet by this time Daisy had already married her husband Tom. Jay Gatsby always loved Daisy in a hopelessly romantic way. This quote is saying: If you've got it, flaunt it. It encourages Jay Gatsby to do so in an effort to win Daisy's heart. This movie with Robert Redford and Mia Farrow is so beautiful. I love this story. Best wishes.
