Road bike or Mountain bike?

Question: which do you prefer?

Answer: I enjoy both! I started on the mountain bike, but in the past few years I've turned more roadie than dirthead. I still love to go out and hit the trails, but there is a big reason I do more road: accessibility. To go mountain biking, I can either hit the easy trail less than a mile from my house, or I have to load my gear and drive to the trailhead, then drive back. On the road bike, I'm on a ride the instant I roll out of my driveway, and I can get more miles in. I love riding any bicycle, honestly, so the road bike makes it easier to do more of it! I think of the mountain bike as my fun bike; something to go play around on and get dirty for a change of pace. But the road bike is there for pure speed and endurance. fat knobbies can't hold a candle to how fast you can go on a road bike, and I can regularly top 50mph on certain downhills. It's not what you ride, just THAT you ride that matters!
