What to use for fishing in Northern Ontario in June?

Question: We are going on a fly in fishing trip in June. We have been up there a few times usually later in July and such. Should I bring anything different. usually catch our share of Northern, and catch walleye too, but I think that is more accident just as we are fishing for pike. I love catching the walleyes and would like some tips. Always used Weedless spoons with great sucess. Anything else for those fish. should I expect fishing to be any different 3-4 weeks early than we usually go? Tahnks

Answer: I would stick with larger spoons and spinnerbaits. Also I would think about some larger Mepps spinners, especially if you can find perhaps a Mepps with a minnow. These are things I have always had fairly good luck with. Something else to consider, and I know space is a premium on a fly in trip would be soft plastics, jerkbaits etc.
